I graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Padua in 1985 and qualified to practise at the University of Bologna. I specialised in Orthopaedics and Traumatology at the University of Padua’s School of Specialisation in 1990.
I began my professional career in 1990 as a Hospital Assistant in the Orthopaedics Department of the Ca’ Foncello Regional Hospital in Treviso, becoming Associate Senior Physician in 1994.
In 2001 I continued my work as a first-level senior physician (associate senior physician) in the Department (UOC) of San Valentino Hospital in Montebelluna.
From December 2016 to June 2018 I was Acting Director of the Orthopaedics Complex Unit at San Valentino Hospital in Montebelluna. From the very start of my career I was able to learn shoulder and knee surgery, completing numerous placements in Lyon with Dr G. Walch and Dr P. Chambat, two of the world’s leading experts in the field.
It was a formative experience that clearly mapped out the course my professional life would take. I then continued my training, above all in arthroscopic surgery, in the United States, with placements alongside the finest American surgeons: Dr S. Burkhart in San Antonio and Dr G. Gartsman in Houston. Thanks to my passion for sport and my specialisation, I served as Orthopaedic Consultant to the Sisley Volley Treviso sports club from 1991 to 1999.
From 1992 to 1994, to the Benetton Basket Treviso sports club.
Since 2019 I have worked as a freelance professional at accredited private healthcare facilities, where I perform arthroscopic and joint replacement surgery, particularly of the shoulder, hip and knee.
I am a member of numerous orthopaedic scientific societies and have authored or co-authored many scientific articles published in orthopaedic journals. I have taken part as a Tutor in Arthroscopic Shoulder and Knee Surgery in courses organised by the Società Italiana di Artroscopia (Italian Arthroscopy Society).
